Aldabra Tortoise The Second Largest Tortoise on Earth

The Aldabra tortoise is the worlds second largest tortoise. Trailing behind the Galapagos tortoises. The Aldabra tortoise inhabits a chain of island in the western Indian Ocean Northeast of Madagascar. The aldabra atoll is a bunch of tiny to mid sized islands in which they live, breed, and thrive in the wild. The main purpose for these gentle giants is seed propagation  Very similar to the Galapagos tortoises over 8829 miles away from each other. These giant tortoises are a very docile and social species of tortoises.
