Reintroduction of Sulcatas in Senegal

Reintroduction of Sulcatas in Senegal
Tomas Diagne is a conservationists in Western Africa. His organization and efforts are accomplished in Senegal. What we don’t see or hear much of here in the United States. Is the very threatening and declining population of the Sulcata tortoise. They are very plentiful in the pet trade, and many are always posted on craigslist and through adoption agencies throughout the United States. However in their native range these big tortoises are severely threatened with extinction in the wild. Tomas does a wonderful job in scientific research and wild analysis of these tortoises. He also has successfully reintroduced many specimens back into the wild Senegal range of the Sulcatas natural habitat.
